What's on your workdesk Wednesday 220

Hi Everyone. have been doing all sorts of lovely things the last two weeks. I dusted off my sewing machine and using the lavender I dried from our garden made some little perfumed bags. The fabric is Tilda and I love the shabby chic look of it, added some ribbon I had and Vintage style lace to finish. I am at beginner level when it comes to sewing, but have been so enthused seeing the amazing things people create and show on WOYWW that I am setting myself a challenge to learn and improve my skills. Am really interested in the small soft crafts and am looking forward to the journey - learning curve x
On the weekend we had a little trip to Ikea, had been saving up for some time to get a bookcase with doors and here it is. Rob and I built it (flat pack) and am so happy with it x
This morning on my desk I finished a blended digital page I was playing with in CAP2. Just trying out a few ideas and thoughts.
Well hope you enjoyed having a peek at what I have been up to and if you would like to hop around some other Inspirational desks around the world then click on the link below to visit Julia and co...

OMG, what do I see when I get to your blog. something I tried to sew but it unraveled at the seams. I was using an old, old...did I say old sheet from maybe the 60's with a low thread count (you could see thru the sheet), but i luved the vintage flowers of it. and then you said IKEA..you are now one of my favorite people. I luv ikea. The bags are beautiful.

I don't know the first thing about digi art but I do know I like what you have done.
I am hoping to improve my sewing skills over the next few months - you would not know I made my own dresses years ago if you saw me handling a machine now.
Good luck with your journey.

Those lavender bags are gorgeous! Have seen similar on sale in local gift shop for £5.99, so don;t call yourself a novice!

And absolutely adore your blended page - I have DCA2 but haven't played for a while - had a few computer issues so hubby uninstalled it and never reloaded- inspired me to play again!

thanks for stopping by

Thanks for your 'get well' wishes. I love your use of Serif Craft Artist software. I've got it on my computer, but don't think I've really spent enough time getting to know all that it can do. I'm pleased with what I can produce but convinced I should be able to do so much more. Need to spend more time with it and persevere. Happy WOYWW, john-w #95

I mended some curtains at weekend and that was enough for me for a while LOL.
Love your fab book case - see its filled already - perhaps it needs a brother or sister.

Stunning little bags for an expert machist let alone a beginner, love them. The button is a nice touch.

Great Bookcase too, I would have sat looking at it forever.
