What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 200

Welcome if you are visiting here via Stamping Ground Blogspot
If you wish to find out more about WOYWW hosted by Julia x
please check them out and join in the fun.

I am working away on several projects at the moment, by next week I hope to have finished and be able to share those. In the meantime I wanted to show you this one and tell the story that accompanies it. Valerie from The Sum Of All Crafts sent me the blank original house shape from the USA.
I then got busy, covered with distress paint (tarnished brass). Decorated with red and blue glitter gel pens. Lace and different elements and an Art quote. When complete popped in the post all the way back to the USA where if anyone wants to see it is now hanging with more of these designs, created by people all around the world.  I was so glad to do this because she has wonderful Vintage images to share, altered art ideas and Inspires me greatly with her many ideas.

If you would like to see them click here

Here also is one of my Digital layouts I was playing in CAP2 with the transparency tool. Created this lovely glow on the papers and then clustered elements, I call it digital flower arranging x

So off now to blog hop around the world for WOYWW 200 and then must get busy. Rob Jordan and I have set ourselves a challenge to spring clean the garage! Goodness knows what is in there? I have the next stage of an altered box to work on. Oh and promised to cook something nice for Tea later. We hope for a day out later in the week as Jordan turned 16 and we wanted to do something special together.

Have a Great week everyone
Heather x

Heather you create such beautiful projects, it is always a pleasure to visit! Mr M keeps dropping hints about clearing out our garage too but I know for a fact there are at least two woman eating spiders in there so for now I'm pretending I've gone deaf! Thanks for your visit have a great week MMx #73

Very lovely. Have you been to The Graphics Fairy for downloadable vintage image? I love her French typography in particular, and some of the old catalog images.

Afternoon Heather Happy WOYWW... what a fabulous house you have created, had a quick peep at the others and looks a great collection. Enjoy the garage spring clean, with a bit of luck the spiders will all be a sleep in this weather. Gill xxx #93

Hope it is a bit warmer where you are if you are clearing the garage.
What a beautiful card you have made with your digi images. It looks like it is die-cuts and I would never have known anything else had I not read about it.
Thanks for sharing and for visiting me earlier.

Loving your little house Heather and your digital LO too. I’ve not had much success doing digi myself but now I have more time I might give it another go. I even went so far as to do an on line course …..and still failed, Lol.

Thanks for stopping by this week.
Happy Crafting!

Hi Heather, I'v said it before but your digital images are so real and 3d they are amazing. I love your little house as well, especially that beautiful red flower. Is this another of your amazing images or is it one you have made from lots of punched flowers? facinating. Thanks for your visit earlier. Hugs Mo x

I Love the Graphics Fairy <3
yes she has the most Fab collection of images and so many ideas too, I have used a few, must pop over and see what's new there xx

Hi Mo, The flowers were digi, they came from a kit called The Magpies Memories by G&T Designs originally blue and I coloured them red, then printed onto glossy photo paper. I cut them out and decoupaged for depth. The fab girl image was from Fantasy Fairies a Daisytrail digikit, the shaped window was mine. I have a fair few digikits from different designers as love to play around with ideas x

Hi Janet, I was reading the article again - linked on my current WOYWW 200 post and I think Valerie is still doing it.
If you are Interested she has a contact me section on her blog to e mail her. I think I wrote in my post but just to re-confirm. She sends a blank house (card) you decorate it in aquas, reds and cream/whites and then post back to her for her art wall in her cabin.
I guess its a bit like an act of kindness, not a swap :)

Gosh, Heather... I love that card! The tones are so unusual together but they work so well. And you're right, it does indeed 'glow'.......it's my definite favourite on all the desks I've seen this week!
Gods luck with the spring cleaning...I've just been down at my dads, trying to downsize his stuff before he moves to sheltered accommodation...sigh...what a job. But we are getting there slowly :)
Hugs, LLJ 36 xxxx
