What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 199

Welcome if you are visiting here via Stamping Ground Blogspot
If you wish to find out more about WOYWW hosted by Julia x
please check them out and join in the fun.

It has been a week filled with many things... Plenty of deep snow causing chaos and hampering what we could do. We spent a large chunk of Sunday sat stationery in the car on the M1 due to road traffic accidents. Rob gave up in the end and we did not make the NEC. Felt sad about this but thoughts were with the poor people in far worse situations around the country. Watching the news yesterday to see farmers digging sheep out of the snow etc. Had my third visit yesterday to the Physio who is working on a trapped nerve in my left shoulder. Ouch but steady progress which is good. I have exercises to do and will see her again next week.

Did have some crafting moments, just starting a new
layout with one of my kits called 'Jade'
Finished another card, very neutral colours for this one.
Entered challenges at Artful times and Altered Pages

And yesterday my order from Altered Pages came
so I have some lovely new elements to create with
Have a Great Easter everyone
Heather x

Lovely work Heather and lovely new playthings.
Sorry about the NEC being a no-trip but it was better to be safe I guess and also not to sit in the car for ages and then worry about getting home all the tie you were at the show.
Thanks for visiting me - Happy Easter and Happy WOYWW - Hugs, Neet xx 1

Adore your card and little box. Looks like you are having a flower and butterfly moment - LOL. Always a favourite of mine. The photo of my son in his Scout uniform was just before we went to his GOLD Award Presentation. (That's the top honour for Scouts) He has done really well. Thanks for visiting me. BJ#67

I love that beautiful card Heather, in the neutral colours and your other makes are wonderful too. We called off our trip to the NEC too on Friday but managed to get there on Sunday but the weather around Birmingham was pretty bad for all 4 days, so wise for you to turn back. Love your new goodies, you will have fun with your paints I am sure. Thanks for your visit already. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #33

Hi Heather, the weather has been pants all week hasn't it. Me and Anne did make it to the NEC on sunday, but we were just down the M6. Right from setting off we could see the signs for the problems on the M1 so we were very fortunate. I love the look of those new watercolours I bet you have fun with those. I like all your new creations, especially the box. Have a great day and thanks for your visit. Hugs Mo x 62

Oh bad luck for not getting to the NEC...we didn't either! Combination of the bad weather and my very poorly son whom I had to rescue from uni the day before.... Ah well, there's always another time eh? And you're right, compare to some, we have nothing to worry about. Those poor farmers trying to rescue their animals...I feel so sorry for them.
I love that dark bronze card you made..very elegant in a steampunky sort of way!

Been hearing about a lot of snow around WOYWW, and praying for those hit worse. We've been lucky and yet we complain about the cold weather. Hope your shoulder therapy goes well for you! Thanks for visiting my desk today, waving hi from the hills of North carolina ♥

You were very wise to call off your journey to the NEC. The weather round here has been so bad that most of us just curled up in the warm. Shame, but you could spend the money you have saved on new stash online or in a local shop. Thank you for your visit and I am glad I am not the only one trying to source local produce. Have a great week experimenting with those new pearlescent paints. xx Maggie #17

OOh ! Lovely new stash ! What are all the pots at the back - the colours look lush !! The guys at the NEC must have been so badly affected by the snow ! Such a shame when the stalls are so expensive ! We will be trekking up from West Wales to Ally Pally next month - our favourite show ! So hope the weather is better for that ! Happy Easter Ali #159

Hello Heather,

That pinched nerve sounds painful indeed. Good to have some progress with the exercises.

I really like your muted tones card/canvas. It's very attractive as are your other creations. Bit disappointing not to get to NEC because of the snow. It's really causing mayhem, isn't it?

Keep warm,
Ros. #87

Hi Lottie, It is a Sizzix embossing folder from about two years ago, can remember it came in a pack of two but there is no product code on it?

Definitely ouch to shoulder pain. I've had treatment over the last couple of years for rotator cuff inflammation but we seem to have rectified it now with concentrating on pulling my shoulders back. I hope it doesn't cause you too many interruptions to your crafting!
