Hi Everyone, hope you have had a Lovely week.
My week whizzed by. Had some creative time playing
with water and Distress Ink to make pastel coloured papers.
Used a mixture of stamps including some free ones with
Issue 8 of Creative Stamping magazine.
Once dry hand painted these using zig pens water colour style.
Added a little extra sparkle to the girl stamp once coloured
with gelly roll pens. Will use as card toppers in due course.
I also started making this Cute Little bird house, just a simple print, cut out and glue together.
Added a painted stamp and some tissue paper. Not finished yet some more decorating to do x
Was so pleased too as I won a Digital challenge at Daisytrail
for photo filter effects...
This was achieved using a combination of posterize
and tweaking colour gradients.

Wow Heather! I love the distress color background papers you made to use for future projects. Your lady with the awesome hair and flower is just lovely. She could be used for any occasion. I have yet to try any kind of digital creating and your last piece is stunning (love the colors..) I thought I would come and see what was going on here - and I am glad I did. What a good idea, to make your own papers and turn them into card toppers. I have kind-of lost my card-making "mojo" in recent months - perhaps I will have a go at this technique (maybe next weekend, when I'm away with some blogging friends, for a crafting weekend!). Thanks for sharing the lovely idea anyway.
The digi page is great - I actually thought it was a paper scrap page, as it has a lot of depth. Love the effects you achieved - it deserved its prize!
